Students at SPBC

Grades 6-12

Join other students growing deeper in their understanding of who God really is and who they were created to be.

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
— 1 Timothy 4:12

Students at SPBC

The SPBC Student Ministry is designed to help students grow deeper in their understanding of who God is and who they were created to be. In keeping with SPBC's vision, the student ministry will exist to help students pursue, proclaim, and participate in a safe and welcoming environment that fosters a lifelong connection with the church.

Students will build relationships with leaders and one another during our weekly meeting times. We aim to carry Jesus's life-changing love into our schools, homes, and communities.

What to EXPECT

We meet at the SPBC Youth Center on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM, Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM, and Sunday evenings at 5:00 PM. Students can utilize games and various gaming systems in their free time. We usually have a time of Worship and hear a lesson before splitting up into small groups for some discussion with other Students and Leaders.

We also enjoy spending time with one another outside of a church setting. We take group trips to Camps, Retreats, Sporting Events, Concerts, and other activities.

All of our staff & volunteers have completed extensive background checks and training.

Meet the Student Ministry LEADERS

Pastor Eric Kendall

There are no words for how blessed and excited I feel to serve SPBC as the director of youth and for the opportunity to give back to the church that has greatly impacted my life. Together we have an opportunity to build a place where our students can PURSUE and PROCLAIM the kingdom of God and PARTICIPATE in what God is doing in the world. We will learn together, serve together, play together, and work as a team with our students to grow together in God’s kingdom, and we will live by 5 key values that will shape everything we do together:

We will honor God and the Church with everything we do.

We will do anything short of sin to reach students with the Gospel.

We will provide a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment for students.

We will always strive to do our best.

We will laugh, play, learn, and do life together.

Most importantly, we will love our students unconditionally and surround them with a church family that makes them feel safe, welcomed, and loved.

I am so excited to see where God leads us and to see how God will work in the lives of our students and our community.

Our Values

  • We will honor God and the Church with everything we do.

We must live our lives with God-honoring integrity

"If we live with integrity nothing else matters. If we don't live with integrity, nothing else matters."

  • We will do anything short of sin to reach students with the Gospel.

We must be creative and courageous in our approach to reaching students and families who don't know Christ.

  • We will provide a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment for students.

Families are trusting us with their students. We must provide an environment of trust where families feel safe and comfortable to worship and serve together.

  • We will always strive to do our best.

God and the people we serve deserve the best we have to offer.

"Excellence honors God and inspires people."

  • We will laugh, play, learn and do life together.

Serving youth and families together should be fun and something we do joyfully together.
