Infant - Elementary (5th)
CHILDREN represent the future generations of our church.
“Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Kids at SPBC
Helping kids find Jesus is what we’re all about. We use the “Basic 252” curriculum to teach them 3 basic truths:
“God Made Me”
“God Loves Me”
“Jesus wants to be my forever friend”
What to EXPECT
Our team is full of God-loving folks that are passionate about helping kids in their faith journey. We provide age-appropriate activities and lessons specifically in tune with their maturity level.

WISDOM (making the RIGHT choice),
FAITH (trusting God no matter what!!), and
FRIENDSHIP (treating others how we’d want to be treated)
IS NOT EASY and we are so thankful to have them as a part of our Children’s Ministry as they grow in God’s Love.
Infant (0-2)
We have Nursery care for our youngest attendees with qualified care-givers that are dedicated to providing a loving environment.
Our Nursery room is open for care Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
Preschool (2-3’s)
Our toddlers are eager to learn more as they enter the Butterflies class. Here, they’ll receive age appropriate instruction with their peers as they enjoy plenty of stories, activities, and tons of fun! Children need to be potty trained to enter into this class from Nursery care.
Our Butterflies meet individually Sunday mornings; yet join our Fireflies Wednesay evenings.
Preschool (K4)
Our 4-5 year olds will love being a part of the Fireflies class as they mature in their walk with Jesus. By the time they’re 5 years old, we truly want them to understand the power of Jesus being their forever friend.
Elementary (K-5th)
Our Kindergarten - 5th grade students congregate all together in the Children’s department Sunday mornings prior to joining opening worship in the main sanctuary. Thereafter, they return to their classrooms for age-appropriate lessons (K/1st, 2nd/ 3rd grade; 4th/5th grade).
Our elementary kids meet together as per the above age groups both Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
5th Grade Graduation
We celebrate their graduation from our elementary classes as we introduce them to our Student Ministry. As they enter middle school, their faith is maturing. It is so very important that we nurture this faith and give them every opportunity to strengthen their walk with Christ.

As Children’s Pastor, I lead and oversee the Children’s Ministry Team to ensure our families are given opportunities to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Sherry Riley
Sherry recently joined our team as a our Children’s Ministry Leader. We are excited to share in her vision to help our kids learn the power of Jesus Christ in their lives.
